The Warm House Colombo, started as an online bedding store expanded up to a bedding boutique in Colombo 6 where you find elegant cushions, duvet covers, comforter sets, fitted sheets and many more bedding requirements.The Warm House Colombo is one of the unique bedding stores started in 2017 stemming from the passionate to create high quality, affordable and durable bed linen and bedding products flourished with a wide range of materials gifted for their customers to start whispering the sweetest dreams.

Problem

Once the main products of The Warm House Colombo have been already established a point of sales system was one of the essential during the sales of their products. They needed a pos which can be operated at the store as well as where ever they go even at their residence. The speciality was not only limited to the pos but to the bill with a special design.They also required printing barcodes and displaying products available, on the website and its shopping cart in real time as well as to get information about the product details and quantity during marketing. An electronic catalogue of the products was another requirement by the client

Challenge

This was one of the challenging projects that always needed uniqueness in all of their desires. Thereby, we wanted new ideas and ways of fulfilling their desires which gives it sparkles of identity. The POS must be made available to be accessed without being restricted to the store. Therefore, a POS which fits in all the devices should be made. Information displayed in the POS should be secured hence permission to the software was given to display only the required section needed for that specific user. Available hardware of the client was used for this POS and all the required formats were set up accordingly as in the bill printing because it was designed beyond the ordinary bill format.

Solution

We are happy that we were able to assist our client to fulfil their desires from all the sections which need sparkles of IT, designing and software from the product to the purchase giving the elegant identity for the store. Laravel PHP framework and MySQL database used to develop the POS web application while the front end was developed using Angular JS. By using ionic framework and electrone.js catalogue was developed to display the products to the customers using mobile devices.
